Update on my chair- Let me introduce you to some more of my stuff- "Daddy's Long Legs", he is a perfect fit for the chair I made.

I bought this doll over ten years ago in a shop in Southlake, Texas. My parents and I were driving out to Kansas to attend my Uncle Jim's and Aunt Ruth's wedding anniversary, since Texas is such a really big state, we would stop along the way. We stopped at an antique and collectible shop and my mother went right to the dolls. I bought this gentleman and I think he looks pretty spiffy in his new chair.

Fiddle, my favorite instrument, went to Dahlonega, Ga to the"Bear on the Square" to see some of the top Bluegrass and Old Time Music performers, Dancers and Artist.

Took a one day workshop with Jo Kilmer www.rusticfurnituremakers.com/jo_kilmer.htm

Pictured above are 3 chairs, Jo made the biggy I did the little one on the right with the funky legs. My friend made the chair on the left, (she thinks she has no artistic ability) I also made a really neat Arbor. Had a Great day.

Kansas Sky
Happy Birthday Dad!
My Aunt and Sister looking inside the church my Dad attended as a kid.

Dad was born and raised in Kansas, and as I wrote before, after WW2 my Mom, Dad and brother moved to South Florida with my Grandpartents (on my mothers side). My parents both went to work in Miami and then I was born, nine years later we were blessed with another baby, my sister. We were raised in a loving home, we were so blessed.

Haven't been out of the yard for two days waiting for FPL to come out and mark where the electric lines are in the yard- so we could plant a tree. (showed up around 2:30) The guys supervisor was watching from the top of the pole, while he located the lines. Actually this is an iguana lizard who probably climbed up there to get warm, hope he knows how to get down.
Yesterday we had temps in the high 80s and today in the 60 and windy, a beautiful day.
I painted this painting of my granddaughter when she was a baby, in August she will be 18.

This painting is called "You've Got Mail". A portrait of me getting on the computer and looking for the little red flag, but you knew that, right.
I have been so busy in the yard that I haven't painted anything, but that doesn't mean that I am not thinking. Sometimes I think too much and find myself doing nothing. When I do get started, I start to change my mind and the painting doesn't look anything like my minds eye. I paint intuitively, never really knowing what's going to happen, but always having a subject matter. Suz
